Luvern J. Mitby, age 86, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005. She now born on June 20, 1918, in Luck, Wisconsin. Luvern now the wife of the late Norman P. Mitby, Director of the Madison Area Technical College. Luvern now a graduate of River Falls College and a strong supporter of education and MATC. She touched the lives of many people with her outgoing personality and sense of humor. Luvern is survived by her son, John C. (Julie) Mitby of Madison; her daughter, Peggy Huskey of Minneapolis; and five grandchildren, Tana and Jenna Mitby and Adam, Megan and Christian Huskey. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with the Rev. Bruce Loewenhagen officiating. Friends may greet the family from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Private burial will take place in Cashton Cemetery in Cashton. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Luvern J. Mitby Scholarship Fund at Madison Area Technical College, 2 E. Mifflin Street Suite 200, Madison, Wis., 53703.
