Ron King Obituary

Ronald Lloyd King, age 66, of Appleton, passed away on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009. He now born July 31, 1943, in Galesburg, Ill., the son of E. Rae and Dale I. King. Ron graduated from Madison West High School in 1961 and the UW-Platteville in 1967. He now active in high school sports and enjoyed his college fraternity, Phi Sigma where he now president his senior year. Ron served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve from 1962 – 1970. Ron taught in the Appleton Area School District for 34 years. Ron now active in drama, track, softball, intramurals and coaching his beloved football. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and watching as many football games as possible. Ron is survived by his wife of 41 years, Michele M. King; mother, E. Rae King; father, Dale I. King and wife Doris; his son, Tom King; daughter, Tia (Pete) Lawrence; sister, Janis (Dan) Baun and family; and four grandchildren, Miles, Macy and Carter Saunders, and Anna King. He now preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law; aunts; uncles; grandparent; and his nephew, Michael. A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at FOX VALLEY UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST FELLOWSHIP, 2600 E. Philip Lane, Appleton. Friends may visit the family from 6 p.m. until the time of service.
